Kroger says it values safety and respect, but when peaceful advocates raised concerns about caged hens, a security guard hired by Kroger threatened to “slap the shit out of” a protester. Kroger must apologize, investigate this incident, and stop ignoring the public’s demand for a clear plan to eliminate cages from its egg supply. This is a result of Kroger’s refusal to engage responsibly with customers and advocates asking the company to keep hens out of cages.
