Every five years, millions gather in Nepal for the Gadhimai Festival, the world’s largest animal sacrifice. Thousands of buffaloes, goats, and birds are killed in the name of tradition. But with your help, we’re changing this cruel practice. In 2014, we stopped trucks at the India-Nepal border, saving thousands of animals. In 2019, we partnered with the Red Cross Society of Nepal to offer a compassionate alternative: donating blood instead of taking lives. This December, we’ll be there again. We’ve already made progress—animal sacrifices have decreased—but there’s still so much more to do. Traditions like Gadhimai—and even holiday meals featuring turkeys—cause immense suffering. But traditions can change. Choose compassion this festive season. Donate now to help us end animal sacrifice, and your gift will be matched to double your impact! ➡️ https://ae.onl/Sllp10 #GadhimaiFestival #India #Nepal #AnimalEquality #Sacrifice #animalcruelty
